Robyn is an AI that follows along during the lesson, watching the board and listening to the teacher. Students can then ask questions about what has just been taught, and get scaffolded support — never just "the answer" — to help them make progress. Students can use any school device to access the Robyn interface, or we can provide dedicated handheld devices if you don't have suitable devices already.
Robyn can re-explain the teacher's point a different way, give another worked example, break a task down or stretch it further — all based on what has just been taught, in real time. It super-charges the teacher: adaptive teaching on auto-pilot
No hand in the air. No being singled out. No anxiety about speaking up. Children can speak to Robyn, type, or quietly show a photo of their work. Robyn will explain something as many times as they need. For SEMH and anxious pupils, this private, judgement-free help can be the difference between succeeding and giving up.
Robyn allows your LSAs and TAs to spend their time with the pupils who genuinely need a human alongside them. Children get used to finding their own next step rather than waiting for an adult — reducing the dependence that can quietly hold them back.

A flexible universal scaffold that adapts to the child in front of it.
Re-explains and re-caps what was just taught, breaks tasks into steps, and supports working memory — "what am I meant to be doing now?"
No social demand and no time pressure. Children can take their time, and ask in speech, in text, or by sharing a photo of their work.
Private, low-stakes help that doesn't single anyone out — so the children who won't ask in front of the class still get unstuck.
Spoken answers and read-aloud support, with endless patience to repeat or rephrase as often as a child needs.
Teachers and SENCOs can review every question a pupil asks and every answer Robyn gives — so you can see what each child is finding hard, what's starting to click, and the progress they're making over time. Real evidence to bring to reviews, parents' meetings and your graduated approach.
Robyn for the whole class costs about the same as half-an-hour a week of 1:1 support for a single student — freeing your budget for where human interventions are really needed.
Compared with 1:1 support or bought-in intervention programmes, the per-pupil cost is tiny — and Robyn can be used by as many children as needed in each classroom.
Robyn is universal, wave one / element one support. It doesn't replace your TAs or specialist provision — it frees that expert human time for the children who need it most.
Robyn is designed to work with children. Robyn will always tell a child to speak to a trusted adult if they give any indication of distress. We hold no personally identifiable information about pupils. More about GDPR compliance.
Robyn follows what the teacher actually says and shows, so the help children get matches your methods, your vocabulary and your lesson — not a generic chatbot.
Robyn was founded by Bruce Greig, an accredited Special Educational Needs mediator who has conducted over 700 SEN mediations, alongside 15 years as a school governor. We understand the pressures SENCOs are under — and how much is riding on getting support right.
